About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Trainee Bid Writer to join our Bid Team in Ross‑on‑Wye. This entry‑level position offers full training in bid and tender writing, allowing you to develop a career in compliance and business development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in drafting, editing and polishing bid and tender responses.
• Collaborate with the Bid Supervisor to learn best practices and compliance requirements.
• Analyse tender documents to understand client questions and evaluation criteria.
• Gather and organise information from internal teams to support high‑quality submissions.
• Prepare, format and submit tender documents and proposals.
• Maintain bid records and provide administrative support to meet deadlines.

• Strong written communication with the ability to adapt tone and style.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing polished content.
• Proactive, eager to learn and develop new skills.
• Organised, able to manage deadlines and prioritise tasks.
• Team‑player comfortable receiving guidance from experienced colleagues.
