Trainee Bus Driver – Chester

About the role

Join Arriva’s Chester depot as a Trainee Bus Driver and start a rewarding career in public transport. You will receive full training, including PCV licence acquisition, and progress to a fully qualified driver while serving local communities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate buses safely on scheduled routes, transporting passengers to schools, workplaces and other destinations.
• Provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers and handling enquiries.
• Adhere to all safety, traffic and company regulations during each shift.
• Complete required CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) training and ongoing professional development.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 years of age with at least 12 months of driving experience.
• Valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol tests.
• Strong communication and customer‑service orientation.
