Trainee Bus Driver – Full‑time – Darlington

About the role

Start your bus driving career with Arriva at the Darlington depot. You will be the link between the community and essential services, transporting commuters, shoppers, and schoolchildren safely each day.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a passenger‑carrying vehicle (PCV) on assigned routes.
• Provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers with enquiries and ensuring a pleasant journey.
• Follow scheduled timetables and adhere to safety and regulatory standards.
• Report any incidents or vehicle issues promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• At least 6 months of driving experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
• Pass drug and alcohol test and English comprehension assessment.
• Strong people skills and flexibility to work shifts from 04:00 to 01:00.
