Trainee Bus Driver – Full‑Time

About the role

Join Arriva’s driver training programme as a Trainee Bus Driver in London. No prior experience is required – you’ll receive full paid training to become a confident, qualified bus driver.

Key responsibilities

• Operate buses on scheduled routes across London, adhering to timetables and safety standards.
• Assist passengers, ensuring a courteous and safe journey.
• Follow rotating shift patterns, including early‑morning, afternoon and evening shifts.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any issues.
• Comply with drug and alcohol testing requirements.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid UK driving licence held for a minimum of 6 months.
• Clean driving record with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Friendly demeanour and commitment to excellent customer service.
• Flexibility to work weekends and varied shift patterns.
• Pass a drug and alcohol test.
