Trainee Buyer – Pump & Plumbing Background

About the role

This is a trainee buyer position for candidates with a plumbing, pump or water‑industry background who want to move from the tools into an office‑based procurement role. You will join a multi‑disciplinary engineering group operating across the South East, with full training and clear progression pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, fixtures and equipment required for project delivery.
• Obtain, compare and evaluate supplier quotations to secure competitive pricing.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates by reviewing project drawings, specifications and labour requirements.
• Maintain relationships with approved suppliers and support the wider supply chain function.

Required profile

• Experience in the water industry, plumbing, pump engineering or a related trade.
• Desire to develop a career in buying, estimating or procurement within an engineering environment.
• Ability to work from the Uxbridge office Monday‑Friday.
