Trainee Dental Nurse (Full/Part‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Trainee Dental Nurse to join our friendly practice on a full‑ or part‑time basis. This position offers hands‑on experience, structured training and mentorship within a modern dental environment, ideal for anyone looking to start a career in dental nursing.

Key responsibilities

• Assist dentists and hygienists during a range of dental procedures.
• Prepare, sterilise and organise instruments and equipment.
• Provide reassurance and support to patients throughout their appointments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Follow infection‑control, health and safety protocols at all times.
• Support reception duties such as booking appointments and handling patient queries.
• Commit to completing an approved dental nursing qualification.

Required profile

• Strong passion for patient care and a desire to build a dental nursing career.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive, team‑oriented attitude with good communication skills.
• Right to work in the UK and proof of Hepatitis B vaccination (or first dose).
• Enrolment confirmation for an approved dental nursing course.

Required skills

• Basic IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling.
