Trainee Dental Nurse – Leeds

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Trainee Dental Nurse to join our Leeds practice on a full‑ or part‑time basis. This position offers hands‑on experience in a modern dental environment, comprehensive training and mentorship from experienced clinicians.

Key responsibilities

• Assist dentists and hygienists during a range of dental procedures.
• Prepare, sterilise and organise instruments and equipment.
• Provide reassurance and support to patients throughout their appointments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Follow infection‑control, health and safety protocols.
• Support reception duties such as booking appointments and handling queries.

Required profile

• Passion for patient care and a desire to build a career in dental nursing.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive, team‑oriented attitude with excellent communication.
• Commitment to enrol in and complete an approved dental nursing qualification.
• Proof of Hepatitis B vaccination (or first dose) and right to work in the UK.

Required skills

• Basic IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling.
