Trainee Electrical Estimator – Graduate Programme

About the role

We are looking for a motivated trainee/graduate to join our electrical estimating team. This full‑time, office‑based position in Romford offers a structured training programme and a clear pathway into commercial management within a growing electrical contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and quotations for electrical projects.
• Review technical drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Measure quantities and compile bills of quantities.
• Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Assist with tender submissions and project cost analysis.
• Liaise with suppliers, clients and internal project teams.

Required profile

• Graduate in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management or a related discipline (or a strong interest in the sector).
• Strong numerical and analytical ability with excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Full UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
