Trainee Financial Adviser – Paraplanner Pathway

About the role

Bluesky Chartered Financial Planners are seeking an ambitious Paraplanner ready to transition into a Financial Adviser role. This full‑time trainee position offers a structured pathway, mentorship from experienced advisers, and progressive client‑facing responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare suitability reports and recommendations based on adviser notes and client objectives.
• Conduct technical research across pensions, investments, retirement, protection and tax planning.
• Support advisers in developing and delivering financial planning recommendations.
• Attend client meetings alongside senior advisers, gradually increasing client‑facing duties.
• Assist with fact‑finding, annual reviews and ongoing client servicing.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure FCA compliance.
• Liaise with providers and third parties to obtain technical information.
• Identify new business and planning opportunities within existing relationships.

Required profile

• Technical aptitude and experience in paraplanning or related financial analysis.
• Strong interest in becoming a qualified Financial Adviser.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Commitment to professional development and achieving Competent Adviser status.
