Trainee Financial Planner – £42k Salary + Bonus, Hybrid, Bristol

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Financial Planner to join a well‑established Chartered Independent Financial Planning firm in Bristol. You will be supported by a strong adviser infrastructure and will inherit a client bank of approximately £40 million AUM, providing a solid foundation for your development into a fully qualified adviser.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with clients, delivering holistic advice across pensions, investments, protection, estate planning and intergenerational wealth.
• Manage and grow the inherited client bank while adhering to regulatory and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with a dedicated administrator and paraplanning team to prepare client recommendations and reports.
• Utilise the firm’s technology platform and AI tools to improve efficiency and client service.
• Participate in ongoing training, mentorship and study sessions towards Chartered status.

Required profile

• Experience as a paraplanner with some client‑facing exposure, or a trainee adviser looking to progress.
• Strong desire to become a Chartered Financial Planner.
• Commitment to high standards of client service and ethical practice.
