Trainee Fine Art Freight Forwarding Agent

About the role

A new opportunity is available for a trainee to join an established specialist fine‑art logistics business. You will support the day‑to‑day coordination of fine‑art shipments for private clients, galleries, dealers and artists.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and maintain accurate job and shipment information in internal systems.
• Set up new jobs and shipments from initial instruction through to completion.
• Liaise with private clients, galleries, dealers and artists via email and telephone.
• Communicate with suppliers, carriers and overseas agents to arrange transport.
• Provide professional, friendly customer service and keep clients updated on shipment progress.
• Assist with quotations, bookings and general shipment administration.
• Prepare and file relevant documentation and records.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Confident computer user with willingness to learn new systems.
• Positive, enthusiastic and professional attitude.
• Hard‑working, reliable, punctual and flexible team player.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
• Ability to commute to Bagshot, GU19.
