Trainee Fire & Security Technician

About the role

This full‑time trainee position offers a pathway into the fire and security sector. You will receive comprehensive training while supporting a fast‑growing organisation in Abingdon and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, test and examine client fire alarms and protection equipment on site.
• Drive the company vehicle to and from appointments, keeping it clean and well maintained.
• Provide courteous, consistent customer service in person and over the phone.
• Respond to urgent enquiries and join the shared call‑out rota once fully trained.

Required profile

• Excellent face‑to‑face customer service abilities.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
• Positive, self‑motivated attitude with a ‘can‑do’ mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Fire alarm inspection.
• Fire protection equipment testing.
• Use of test equipment.
• Use of power tools.
