Trainee Installation Mate

About the role

Orona Limited is seeking a motivated Trainee Installation Mate to join its Edinburgh installation team. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience supporting lift and elevator installations, working alongside seasoned Installation Engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist experienced engineers with the installation of new lifts and elevators.
• Safely unload, transport, and prepare materials and equipment on site.
• Support the Lead Engineer throughout each installation stage, from preparation to testing.
• Help prepare completed installations for final testing and handover.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Required profile

• Experience in a construction environment is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn, follow instructions and develop new skills.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Ability to pass a DBS check.
