Trainee Installation Technician

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Installation Technician to join a well‑established client in Oxfordshire. You will install, maintain and repair telecare equipment, helping vulnerable individuals feel safe in their homes.

Key responsibilities

• Install telecare devices according to assessments and documentation.
• De‑commission and collect equipment when services end.
• Respond to emergency call‑outs and planned maintenance visits.
• Diagnose, repair and re‑program telecare equipment following manufacturer procedures.
• Maintain van stock levels and report any tool issues.
• Record all work on a mobile device, obtain customer signatures and submit paperwork.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate any concerns to supervisors.

Required profile

• GCSEs (or equivalent) or similar qualifications.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check.
• Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work independently or in a team.

Required skills

• Practical or mechanical aptitude.
• Basic knowledge of telecare equipment (training provided).
