Trainee Leisure Manager – London

About the role

GLL is seeking enthusiastic graduates to join its two‑year Trainee Leisure Manager programme in London. The role provides hands‑on experience across all aspects of leisure centre operations, preparing you for a permanent Assistant Manager position upon successful completion.

Key responsibilities

• Complete frontline placements in concierge, fitness instruction and lifeguarding during the first year.
• Undertake supervisory duties as a Duty Manager and Supervisor in the second year.
• Participate in strategic projects covering business development, HR initiatives and network building with senior leaders.
• Deliver statutory, management and modular training modules throughout the programme.
• Support day‑to‑day centre operations, customer liaison, programming, marketing and financial management.

Required profile

• A genuine passion for leisure, sport and fitness.
• Recent graduate in a relevant discipline or existing GLL staff (with or without a degree).
• Willingness to work across various GLL hubs and adapt to different placement locations.
• Strong communication and leadership potential.
