Trainee Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant – Paid Training & Qualification

About the role

Join a welcoming specialist school in Boston Spa as a Trainee Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant. You will earn while you learn, completing a fully funded Level 3 CACHE Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship and gaining hands‑on experience from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND on a one‑to‑one basis and in small groups.
• Assist children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and moderate learning difficulties.
• Promote confidence, independence, communication and emotional regulation.
• Support literacy, numeracy and targeted intervention sessions.
• Help teachers with classroom preparation and resource organisation.
• Encourage positive behaviour and inclusive learning environments.
• Build constructive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.

Required profile

• Passionate about supporting children with special educational needs.
• Recent graduates in Psychology, Education or related fields.
• Youth workers, mentors, care or support workers seeking a career change.
• Existing Teaching Assistants aiming for a formal qualification.
