About the role
Rainham Steel is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join its Essex depot as Trainee Machine Operators. This full‑time position offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑moving steel production environment, supporting the preparation and dispatch of structural steel products.
Key responsibilities
- Load and set up machines according to required shapes and specifications.
- Perform quality checks on finished steel components.
- Assemble and bundle products for packing and shipment.
- Maintain a tidy, safe, and organised work area.
- Assist with manual handling tasks and occasional paid overtime.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and good time‑keeping.
- Effective verbal and written communication in English.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Motivated, organised and able to collaborate with a diverse team.
