Trainee Mechanical Maintenance Fitter – Peterborough

About the role
This is a hands‑on trainee position for an aspiring mechanical engineer. You will receive tailored training on the maintenance of plant equipment and will have a clear progression path towards a management role within the first year.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain, service, test and repair plant equipment, including conveyors, pumps and mixers.
- Respond to breakdowns and support the wider engineering team.
- Work a 4‑on‑4‑off shift pattern, covering 40 hours per week with optional overtime.
Required profile
- Junior engineer or recent engineering graduate.
- Mechanical background with interest in plant maintenance.

- Salary £26,000‑£28,000 per year plus overtime (OTE £32k).
