Trainee Production Mould Machine Technician

About the role

This full‑time trainee position offers hands‑on experience in a specialist cable manufacturing environment. You will work alongside experienced technicians to learn how to set up, programme and maintain moulding machines while developing a solid foundation in engineering and production processes.

Key responsibilities

• Set up moulding machines ready for production runs
• Program machinery for different product specifications
• Service and maintain production equipment
• Diagnose and repair machine faults
• Set up and calibrate tooling and applicators
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Record maintenance activities and machine repairs
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks
• Support continuous improvements in safety, quality and efficiency
• Assist with product assembly when required
• Develop skills to train operators on routine machine servicing
