About the Role
Join the West London NHS Trust as a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) and embark on a transformative career in mental health. This fully funded NHS training programme, delivered in partnership with University College London (UCL), offers a unique opportunity to gain professional qualifications while delivering vital psychological support to the community.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver low-intensity psychological interventions, specifically Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), to adults within the Hounslow and Ealing Talking Therapies services.
- Manage a caseload of patients presenting with various psychological, interpersonal, or social difficulties.
- Balance clinical practice with academic excellence, dedicating four days per week to service delivery and one day to postgraduate studies at UCL.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care and effective therapeutic outcomes.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience working with individuals facing psychological, interpersonal, or social challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in postgraduate-level academic studies.
- Strong communication skills and empathy for diverse patient populations.
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK (please note: visa sponsorship is not available for this position).
Required Skills
- Foundational knowledge of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles.
- Clinical assessment and intervention skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities for dual academic/clinical roles.
- Resilience and emotional intelligence in a mental health setting.
