Trainee Recruitment Consultant – Southampton

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our Southampton office and support the Charity sector. You will work three days a week in the office and the rest remotely, delivering end‑to‑end recruitment services while building your own client and candidate portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and manage a pipeline of candidates through targeted advertising, LinkedIn networking and job board monitoring.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and ensure compliance with administrative processes.
• Provide high‑quality candidate care before, during and after placement.
• Prospect new business through cold calls, develop relationships with charity clients and secure repeat business.
• Conduct client meetings, service reviews and meet agreed deadlines.
• Develop specialist knowledge of the charity sector and deliver consultancy that exceeds expectations.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or individual with a background in sales or recruitment.
• Confident communicating face‑to‑face and over the phone.
• Strong research ability and a desire to become an expert in the charity market.
• Team‑player with a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a CRM system for managing candidate and client data.
• Effective use of LinkedIn for networking and sourcing.
