Trainee Service Delivery Supervisor

About the role

As a Trainee Service Delivery Supervisor you will be trained to manage LDP Operational Teams delivering the Cadent Mains Replacement Programme in the North West. The role combines on‑site supervision, health‑safety compliance and customer liaison to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise delivery teams throughout the works, from site set‑up and gas operations to back‑fill, reinstatement and site completion.
• Attend sites to brief team leaders on Construction Phase Plans, RAMS and statutory requirements (CDM, IGEM).
• Manage opening and closing of street‑works permits in line with NRSWA 1991, including traffic management and permit conditions.
• Collaborate with the Customer Liaison Officer to address specific customer needs and minimise disruption.
• Produce daily and weekly reports to ensure service levels and programme objectives are met.
• Report safety issues according to company procedures and contribute innovative solutions.

Required profile

• Willingness to learn and develop supervisory skills in a gas‑related construction environment.
• Ability to work on‑site and engage with multiple stakeholders.
• Commitment to health, safety, environment and quality performance.

Required skills

• SHEA (Gas) training
• NRSWA 1991 (Supervisor) knowledge
• SCO 1, 2 & 5 (preferred)
• IOSH or SMSTS certification (preferred)
• NCO Gas Level 2 / Gas manager appreciation
