Trainee Sheet Metal Fabricator & Mechanical Fitter

About the role

This is a full‑time trainee position with a precision engineering company that manufactures aerospace components. You will develop core competencies in sheet metal fabrication and mechanical fitting while working on real production projects.

Key responsibilities

• Learn and perform sheet‑metal forming, bending, drilling, trimming and finishing under supervision.
• Assist in assembling mechanical and sheet‑metal sub‑assemblies according to engineering drawings.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and measuring equipment safely and accurately.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and complete all required documentation.
• Support continuous‑improvement activities and meet training milestones.

Required profile

• Interest in engineering, manufacturing or aerospace.
• Willingness to undertake formal training and develop technical skills.
• Good manual dexterity, attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Positive attitude towards health, safety and quality.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns as required.
