Trainee Transport & Warehouse Operator

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Transport & Warehouse Operator to join our established freight forwarding team in Feltham. This full‑time position offers hands‑on experience in air freight handling, warehouse operations, and transport coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Handle air export and import freight within the transit warehouse.
• Receive, store, and release bonded cargo in line with security procedures.
• Plan and organise transport requirements using company‑leased vehicles and subcontractors.
• Process purchase invoices and raise sales invoices according to the company’s quality system.
• Produce, check and resolve weekly job transaction reports.
• Ensure cargo security procedures are correctly followed and documented.
• Support cost‑effective use of leased vehicles and subcontracted cartage.
• Assist warehouse staff as needed, including occasional overtime on Sundays.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic team player with a willingness to learn.
• Basic numeracy and attention to detail for invoice and report handling.
• Ability to follow documented procedures accurately.
• Flexibility to work a 37.5‑hour week, Monday‑Friday, with occasional Sunday overtime.
