Trainee Water Technician – Full Training Provided

About the role

This is a field‑based trainee position for individuals who want to start a career in water hygiene and infrastructure. Full in‑house training will be provided, allowing you to develop the skills needed to work independently on water‑related projects across the South East.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with commissioning of new water mains, including pressure testing, chlorination, swabbing, flushing and sampling.
• Carry out tank cleaning and building disinfection tasks.
• Travel to various sites using a company van and fuel card.
• Record and report water‑quality data and maintain equipment.
• Progress to managing your own jobs after completing the training period.

Required profile

• Practical, reliable and conscientious individual.
• Full UK driving licence and comfortable with regular travel.
• Eager to learn and develop a long‑term career in water services.
• No prior water‑hygiene experience required – training will be provided.

• Starting salary £28,000 per year (rising to £29,500 OTE within 6 months).
