Training & Competency Manager – Financial Planning

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing wealth management and employee benefits organisation to find a Training & Competency Manager. You will support trainee Financial Planners on their journey to CAS status and ensure the ongoing competence of existing advisers across the East of England.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support Financial Planners/IFAs of varying experience across multiple locations.
• Conduct observations, competency assessments and role‑plays, providing constructive feedback.
• Assist in the design, development and delivery of training materials.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a training, coaching or T&C role within financial services, wealth management or private client environments.
• Level 4 Diploma qualification (advanced qualifications preferred).
• Strong stakeholder management with a collaborative approach.
• Experience training and developing advisers in a regulated setting.
• Based in the East of England or East Midlands, or willing to travel to these regions.

Required skills

What we offer

• Competitive basic salary between £50,000 and £65,000 per year.
• Full flexibility for remote working, with regular travel as needed.
