Transactions Tax Associate Director

About the role

This position offers a rare chance to join a Top‑10 accountancy practice as an Associate Director in the Transactions Tax team. You will work in a fast‑paced, challenging environment while avoiding the high‑pressure culture of the Big 4.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client discussions, present findings and manage relationships with target management teams.
• Coordinate with Financial Due Diligence and Sale & Purchase Agreement advisory teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Conduct due‑diligence meetings, oversee analysis and review reports before partner/director sign‑off.
• Prepare and review acquisition structure reports, focusing on tax implications and commercial requirements.
• Review forecast models, fund flows and legal documentation with team support.
• Develop internal networks across tax, corporate finance and international member firms.
• Engage with private‑equity funds, corporate clients, law firms and intermediaries to generate new business.
• Manage project budgets, billing and fee collection.
• Produce technical research using legislation, tax authority guidance and firm resources.
• Provide training and development for junior team members.

Required profile

• Chartered accountant or tax advisor qualification (ACA, CA, CTA, ADIT or equivalent).
• Proven experience in UK corporation tax compliance and M&A transactions.
• Ability to manage client relationships and lead projects.
