Transport Co‑ordinator – Night Shift

About the role

This permanent night‑shift position supports a leading container logistics business operating from London Gateway. You will coordinate overnight transport movements, ensuring containers are positioned, planned and ready for the next day's operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate container deliveries and collections across the UK during night hours.
• Plan workloads to maximise fleet efficiency and meet service level agreements.
• Support and communicate with drivers throughout each shift, providing updates and assistance.
• Monitor ongoing transport activity, respond to operational changes and resolve issues that could impact schedules.
• Liaise with customers and internal departments to provide status updates.
• Maintain accurate operational records, documentation and assist with shift handovers.

Required profile

• Previous experience in transport planning, container haulage or logistics operations.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities in a fast‑moving environment.
• Confidence communicating with drivers, customers and colleagues.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and solve problems quickly.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

What we offer

• Competitive salary between £30,000 and £40,000 per year.
• Full‑time permanent contract with night‑shift shift patterns (18:00‑04:00 or 22:00‑08:00).
