About the role

WSP is seeking a Transport Planner to join its Passenger Transit Group within the Transport Planning & Mobility team. The position is based across several UK offices (Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Newcastle) and offers a hybrid working model, allowing a mix of office and home work.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to a variety of passenger transit projects and proposals, providing both technical and commercial inputs.
  • Deliver high‑quality outputs that meet client requirements and support the financial performance of projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and other WSP service lines to deliver large, multi‑disciplinary projects from concept to completion.
  • Support business development activities for a broad local client portfolio.
  • Engage with WSP’s four key pillars: People; Clients & Growth; Operations; and Expertise.
  • Work with Net Zero and Future Mobility growth areas on innovative strategies for public and private sector clients.
