Transport Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to lead daily transport operations in Cheltenham. You will work closely with senior management to ensure deliveries and collections are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily vehicle scheduling and routing to maximise efficiency.
• Manage and monitor employed drivers and subcontracted transport providers.
• Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with transport legislation, company policies and health & safety standards.
• Coordinate deliveries and collections to meet operational requirements.
• Manage vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain transport records, driver documentation and performance reports.
• Monitor KPIs, produce fleet utilisation reports and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Transport Supervisor, Transport Planner or Logistics Supervisor.
• Strong planning background with proven ability to manage transport operations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proactive, solution‑focused attitude with confidence to challenge and improve processes.
