Transport Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an organised and proactive Transport Supervisor to join our growing Bristol operation. Working closely with the Transport Manager, you will help ensure that our multi‑drop fleet runs safely, efficiently and in full compliance with UK transport legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of drivers in a busy multi‑drop environment.
• Monitor driver performance, telematics data and tachograph compliance.
• Conduct driver debriefs, identify improvement areas and manage performance issues.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance, inspections and defect reporting.
• Liaise with external service providers for fleet repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain transport compliance with DVSA and operator licence requirements.
• Assist with investigations, return‑to‑work meetings and performance management.
• Manage transport administration, including records, documentation and purchase orders.
• Promote a positive health & safety culture and uphold operational procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in transport, logistics or fleet operations, preferably in a fast‑paced distribution or multi‑drop setting.
• Strong understanding of UK transport legislation and compliance.
• Experience supervising drivers or transport teams.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Hands‑on, proactive management style with attention to detail.
