Transport Team Manager – Greenford

About the role

We are looking for a confident, people‑focused Transport Team Manager to lead our busy Greenford transport operation. You will own day‑to‑day shift activity, support your team to perform at their best and ensure safe, efficient service for our customer network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead shift performance and ensure service levels are consistently met.
• Manage transport shift activity against budgetary, financial, legislative, procedural and contractual commitments.
• Champion continuous improvement and best‑in‑class ways of working.
• Account for health and safety standards across the shift.
• Maintain compliance with company and customer procedures.
• Identify and promptly escalate issues for swift resolution.
• Drive site culture programmes, encouraging engagement and teamwork.
• Support business continuity planning and emergency response testing.
• Produce accurate reporting to give leaders insight for decision‑making.
• Recruit, develop, motivate and support direct reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a transport or logistics leadership role.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, time‑critical environment where priorities change quickly.
• Strong judgement, energy and a genuine passion for leading people.
• Good understanding of driver compliance and safe, legal, efficient transport operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages.

What we offer

• Competitive salary of £31,000‑£32,000 per annum.
• Shift pattern: 06:00‑18:00, 4 days on / 4 days off (42.46 hrs/week).
