Travel Consultant - Japan

About the role

As a Travel Consultant specialising in Japan, you will turn incoming enquiries into memorable holiday bookings. You will design custom travel proposals, manage bookings and ensure client satisfaction from the first contact through their return.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with clients via phone, video call, email and in‑person to understand their travel needs.
• Create high‑quality, personalised itineraries for direct and trade clients.
• Meet individual and team sales targets by converting enquiries into confirmed bookings.
• Prepare accurate travel documents and present them professionally.
• Participate in familiarisation trips to deepen destination knowledge of Japan.

Required profile

• Significant experience living, working or travelling extensively in Japan.
• Proven customer service and/or sales experience.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills across phone, video, email and face‑to‑face.
• Creative problem‑solving and a proactive approach to personal development.

What we offer

• Base salary £26,000‑£28,000 per year with uncapped commission and OTE increasing from £5k to £16k.
