Treasury Finance Assistant (Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking a Treasury Finance Assistant to support our finance team on a temporary, full‑time basis at our Redcar office. The role offers hands‑on experience in cash management, banking operations and treasury reporting within a well‑established organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily cash positions and assist with short‑term cash‑flow forecasting.
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements, resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Process supplier payments, payroll and inter‑company transfers.
• Maintain banking documentation and support the opening, closing and administration of bank accounts.
• Manage company credit‑card transactions, expense claims and treasury records.
• Produce treasury reports for senior management, including cash movements and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with internal teams and external banking partners as needed.
• Identify and implement improvements to treasury processes.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or Finance Assistant role.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Confidence in reconciliations and basic financial analysis.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, on‑site environment.
• Available for a minimum 3‑6 month assignment.
