Trust & Accounts Associate

About the role

We are seeking a Trust & Accounts Associate to join a specialist Trust & Estates team within a long‑established accountancy firm in Liverpool. The role supports the Trust Manager in delivering high‑quality services to trusts, estates, charities and private clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review trust accounts, inheritance tax returns and tax computations.
• Assist with trust administration and advise on Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax matters.
• Liaise with clients, HMRC, solicitors, banks and other professional advisers.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to keep the Trust & Estates team running smoothly.

Required profile

• Experience in trusts and estates administration within an accountancy practice or a firm of solicitors.
• Strong technical knowledge of trust and estate taxation.
• ATT and/or STEP qualification desirable.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Proactive, accurate and able to manage multiple priorities.

• CCH software.
• Trust accounting software.
