Trust Attendance Officer

About the role
The Trust Attendance Officer will join Aldridge Education’s national team to drive rapid improvements in pupil attendance across our academies. You will work directly with school leaders to create safe, supportive environments where learners feel valued and motivated to attend.
Key responsibilities
- Support attendance leads in all schools, with focused priority on two schools at any time.
- Develop and implement attendance improvement strategies and monitor progress.
- Travel nationally to provide hands‑on guidance and training.
- Collaborate with safeguarding teams to address attendance‑related welfare concerns.
- Report attendance data and outcomes to senior trust leadership.
Required profile
- Maths and English GCSE at grade 4 or higher.
- Level 3 qualification equivalent to three A‑levels.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning.
- Experience working with vulnerable young people, including those with ACEs.
- Previous role as an Attendance Manager/leader or EWO in a school or local authority.
- Proven record of achieving sustained high attendance rates.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Knowledge of SEMH needs, mental‑health programmes, and safeguarding procedures.
