Trust IT Manager – School ICT Network

About the role

Turn IT On is seeking an experienced Trust IT Manager to lead the ICT network for schools within a Trust in Dulwich, London. The role combines hands‑on technical management with strategic development, working closely with senior leadership to enhance the schools’ technology services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, install, maintain and secure the schools’ ICT network and related applications.
• Oversee day‑to‑day workload of IT Technicians, providing coaching and development.
• Provide 2nd/3rd line support, troubleshooting, and ensure efficient handling of service requests.
• Monitor and maintain critical infrastructure such as switches, virtual and physical servers, backups and SAN topology.
• Enforce IT policies, deliver training to staff and act as the primary liaison between schools and Turn IT On.
• Lead project planning and implementation for network upgrades and new services.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience as an IT Network Manager or IT Manager within a school environment.
• Strong understanding of the educational sector’s IT requirements.
• Proven experience upgrading school network systems.
• Self‑motivated with excellent communication, interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a proactive problem‑solving attitude.
