Trust Manager

About the role

My client is a growing Top 30 professional services firm with a dynamic Private Client team, including a specialist Trusts function. The Trusts sub‑team is expanding and is seeking a Manager to support the management and growth of a diverse portfolio of UK and offshore trusts, advising high‑net‑worth individuals, families, and trustees both in the UK and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of UK and offshore trust clients.
• Review trust accounts, tax returns, and IHT 10‑year/exit charge calculations.
• Advise trustees and beneficiaries on distributions and UK reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC Trust Registration Service rules.
• Draft and review advisory reports on UK and offshore trust structures.
• Provide strategic tax planning advice and identify new opportunities with existing clients.
• Supervise, coach, and develop junior staff.
• Contribute to business development, proposals, and networking activities.

Required profile

• CTA qualification (STEP beneficial).
• Strong knowledge of UK trust tax legislation.
• Experience managing UK and offshore trust clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel (experience with CCH and Digita desirable).
