Turret Punch Press Operator

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a well‑established specialist metal‑fabrication business near Aston for a Turret Punch Press Operator on an afternoon shift (2 pm‑10 pm, Monday‑Friday). The role involves operating turret punch press machinery to produce sheet‑metal components and supporting overall shop‑floor activity.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and set Turret Punch Press machinery to manufacture sheet‑metal components.
• Load and unload materials, ensuring machines run efficiently.
• Inspect finished parts to confirm they meet quality and dimensional specifications.
• Support general production, material handling and shop‑floor activities as required.
• Use a counterbalance forklift truck to move stock safely around the site.

Required profile

• Previous experience operating Turret Punch Press machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.
• Experience handling sheet‑metal products and working to production targets.
• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence (highly advantageous).
