Tutor (SEN/SEMH) – Wiltshire

About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking compassionate tutors to support secondary‑aged learners in Wiltshire who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) requirements. The role involves delivering 1:1 tuition, either in‑person or online, to help students re‑engage with education and reach their potential.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons tailored to each learner’s needs.
- Assess progress, provide constructive feedback and monitor development weekly.
- Record attendance and maintain accurate progress reports.
- Adapt teaching style to be calm, fair, patient and creative.
Required profile
- Nurturing, caring and patient nature.
- Understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Comfortable supporting secondary pupils in English, Maths and possibly Science.
- Experience working with learners who have SEN/SEMH needs (minimum 6 months).
Required skills
What we offer
- Hourly rate of £25‑£30.
