UK & EU HR Business Partner

About the role

Join the Sonepar UK people team as an HR Business Partner supporting Routeco’s UK and European entities. You will help shape a consistent, high‑quality HR experience across the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium and Switzerland while aligning people strategy with business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across all European entities and keep employment law knowledge up‑to‑date.
• Partner with local legal advisers on complex employee‑relations matters.
• Advise managers on performance management, global frameworks, policies and tools.
• Use people data and insights for quarterly and annual reporting, including trends, metrics and KPIs.
• Support talent acquisition, development and succession planning across the region.
• Drive associate engagement initiatives such as stay interviews and exit trend analysis.
• Coordinate a compliant, competitive European benefits offering aligned to local and group standards.
• Promote wellbeing, Diversity & Inclusion and Purpose initiatives respecting local cultural needs.
• Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate, timely payroll delivery for all European entities.
• Contribute to pay benchmarking and reward reviews across Europe.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of HR experience covering talent acquisition, benefits, compensation, disciplinary, grievance and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of UK and European HR practices; multi‑country experience preferred.
• Degree in HR/Business or related field and CIPD qualification at graduate level.
• Fluent English communication skills.
