Uniformed Services Lecturer

About the role

We are seeking experienced Uniformed Services Lecturers to deliver engaging lessons for further‑education providers across the North West. You will inspire learners who aim to join the Armed Forces, Police, Fire & Rescue, Prison Service, Border Force and other public‑service sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality Uniformed Services lessons across a range of levels.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate teaching records in line with college requirements.
• Create an inclusive learning environment that promotes teamwork, leadership and professional standards.
• Support learner retention, achievement and progression towards career goals.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Public Services, Uniformed Services, Criminology, Leadership, Sport or a related field.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Uniformed Services or Public Services in FE, HE, secondary or adult learning settings.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
