Unqualified Class Teacher – Upper KS2 (Primary)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Unqualified Class Teacher to join our Upper KS2 team in Gillingham. You will work with our oldest primary pupils, helping them build confidence, resilience and a love of learning as they prepare for the next stage of their education.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver tailored learning activities for individuals and small groups.
• Lead lessons when required to ensure continuity of learning.
• Support pupils with a range of educational, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Monitor progress and provide meaningful feedback.
• Contribute to personalised support plans and interventions.
• Use positive behaviour management strategies to motivate and engage learners.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

Required profile

• Hold HLTA status or have equivalent experience.
• Confident leading learning and adapting teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
• Strong behaviour management skills with a calm and resilient approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships and act as a consistent role model.
• Passionate about inclusion, safeguarding and supporting pupil wellbeing.
