About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking confident, motivated individuals to work as Unqualified Teachers in schools across the Fareham area. This full‑time, temporary position offers a day rate of up to £130 and provides valuable classroom experience for aspiring teachers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑planned lessons and learning activities.
• Lead classes independently and manage classroom behaviour.
• Support pupils to engage with learning and achieve lesson objectives.
• Adapt activities to suit a range of learning abilities and needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour and classroom participation.
• Monitor pupil engagement and provide feedback to school staff.
• Build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment and follow safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Coach, or similar role (desirable).
• Confidence managing groups of pupils independently.
• Strong communication and classroom leadership skills.
• Adaptable, resilient and proactive attitude.
• Passion for supporting young people and education.
