Unqualified Teacher – Support Secondary Schools

About the role

Academics is looking for enthusiastic individuals with a university degree to join our network of secondary schools in Buckinghamshire as Unqualified Teachers. You will step into classrooms during teacher absences, helping maintain continuity and a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise students and ensure completion of pre‑planned tasks.
• Manage classroom behaviour and foster a supportive atmosphere.
• Assist pupils with questions and provide guidance.
• Follow school behaviour, safeguarding and policy procedures.
• Collect and submit completed work to the Head of Department.
• Provide feedback on lessons and student engagement.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in any subject (e.g., Chemistry, PE, Business Studies, Humanities).
• Strong communication skills, confidence and adaptability.
• Genuine enthusiasm for working with young people.
