Upper KS2 Primary Teacher

About the role

We are partnering with a welcoming primary school in the London Borough of Haringey to hire an Upper KS2 Primary Teacher for Year 6. The successful candidate will lead a well‑engaged Year 6 class, delivering the curriculum and preparing pupils for SATs and their transition to secondary school.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons for Year 6 pupils.
• Prepare students for SATs and support their progression to secondary education.
• Maintain a positive, focused classroom environment with high expectations.
• Manage behaviour effectively and promote pupil wellbeing.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the school’s team ethos.

Required profile

• Hold a UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2.
• Confidence delivering the Year 6 curriculum and SATs preparation.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Energetic, creative and nurturing approach to teaching.
• Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for all pupils.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team.
