Urgent Care Practitioner – Telephone Triage

About the role

Connaught Resourcing is recruiting experienced Urgent Care Practitioners to provide telephone triage for an out‑of‑hours service in Liverpool. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, treating and safely discharging patients over the phone, primarily during evenings, overnights and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telephone assessments of patients presenting with minor illnesses or injuries.
• Provide clinical advice, prescribe treatment where appropriate, and arrange follow‑up care.
• Document consultations accurately in the clinical system.
• Work collaboratively with the out‑of‑hours team to ensure patient safety and service quality.

Required profile

• Currently employed as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP), Extended Clinical Practitioner (ECP), Nurse Practitioner or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in telephone assessment and management of minor conditions.
• Relevant qualifications to practice at an advanced nursing level.
