US & UK Assistant Tax Manager

About the role

We are a specialist US & UK tax advisory firm seeking an Assistant Tax Manager to join our London office. The role offers the chance to work with high‑net‑worth individuals and private‑equity executives, managing cross‑border personal tax compliance and planning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of US and UK private‑client tax engagements, ensuring timely and accurate filing of personal tax returns.
• Gather client information, prepare and review US and UK tax returns, and supervise the work of junior staff.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and communicate risks or technical matters to senior team members.
• Maintain strong client relationships and support business development initiatives.
• Monitor engagement budgets and financial performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in US/UK private‑client tax, preferably serving high‑net‑worth clients.
• Qualified member of ATT and an Enrolled Agent (EA).
• Proven ability to manage a client portfolio independently while collaborating with senior and junior colleagues.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation.

Required skills

• Experience using CCH Axcess or CCH ProSystem for US tax return preparation.
