Used Car Manager

About the role

A leading automotive organisation is seeking an experienced Used Car Manager to shape and execute its UK used‑vehicle strategy. You will work closely with senior finance, remarketing and dealer operations stakeholders to drive profitability, residual value performance and a premium customer experience across the used‑car lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network‑wide used‑vehicle sales, stock turn, profitability and commercial KPIs, identifying opportunities to boost volume and margin.
• Partner with franchised retailers to improve used‑car operations, acquisition strategies, pricing and vehicle presentation.
• Lead the development of a manufacturer‑approved used‑vehicle programme, enhancing warranty offers, preparation standards and customer benefits.
• Support residual‑value performance and manage remarketing activities, including disposal of company vehicles, demonstrators and fleet returns.
• Establish retailer audit processes, ensure compliance with approved‑used standards and provide market intelligence on competitor activity and pricing trends.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Used Car Manager, Used Vehicle Manager, Remarketing Manager or in an OEM used‑car role.
• Strong knowledge of the UK used‑vehicle marketplace, including valuation tools, auction channels and remarketing processes.
