User Researcher

About the role

The User Researcher will join a digital software client serving the public sector, working remotely from the UK with occasional travel. Reporting to the UX leadership team, you will help shape user‑centred digital services across the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute user research activities across Discovery, Alpha, Beta and Live phases.
• Conduct user interviews, usability testing sessions and research workshops.
• Choose appropriate qualitative and quantitative methods and develop research artefacts such as personas, journey maps and test scripts.
• Analyse findings, synthesize insights and present actionable recommendations to product, design and engineering stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers and Engineers in an Agile environment.
• Champion accessibility and inclusive design principles throughout development.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience delivering user research in digital products.
• Proven ability to work independently and influence product decisions with evidence‑based insights.
• Strong communication skills and experience engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in fast‑paced Agile teams and managing multiple research streams.
